// The Victims

Every country especially the US punishes the victims of the sex trade epidemic, the very ones who are captured by the sex traders, the victims if caught are arrested, jailed and given criminal records that marks them for life as criminals while they are the victims of men and their unquenchable lust for sex and sex traffickers. A story that makes the point:

Jane a 14 year old girl from the midwest lives in a home with a step father who is abusive both emotional and sexual, she after 2 years of being used by him runs away to LA. She arrives in LA at the bus station with only a few dollars and no place to live, a sex trafficker or pimp spots her right off on the street, he offers her a place to stay and food, she refuses. But after two weeks of sleeping in alleys and no food she gives in. He as repayment for his help introduces her to prostitution as a way to survive. Which quickly turns into a way of life not by choice, but out of necessary to survive and is forced into prostitution by her pimp, who beats her and threatens her life if she does not comply and produce income for him so she does so out of fear.

Then at age 16 after 2 years of being prostituted and even used in porn to make money for her pimp, she gets caught by the police selling herself, is arrested and thrown in jail and treated like a criminal, and marked for life as a prostitute, adding even more to the gilt and shame locking her even more into the lifestyle that she was already a prisoner in, add in if she tired to leave and enter the real world, get a job she would have to reveal she has a criminal record as a prostitute, who will hire her?.So Law enforcement whom is suppose to be there to help her, rescue her, she finds herself not helped, not freed from the slavery the pimp holds her prisoner in, but punished for being a prisoner in the sex trade by the very ones that should be helping and protecting her. Law enforcement agencies are guilty of helping sexual trafficking, helping enslave those held captive in it. This must change, this is why victims of sex trafficking and porn do not go to Law enforcement for help, why the traffickers tell them that if they go to the police they will only be put in jail as criminals because once they have sex for money, made porn even if they are underage they are criminals and will be punished if they go to the police for help, and this is true, especially in the US, victims are criminals in the US, this attitude, these laws must be changed.

Less than 1% of sex traffickers and porn producers are prosecuted but 100% of the victims who are caught are, this is one of the great injustices of sex trafficking.
